In addition, I use a Mac/Airport system at home. Looking to purchase a palm treo....Please explain why I should wait until the 610 or 660 comes out over buying the 600 right now. The screen resolution on the 610 will be double that of the 600 (320x320 vs 160x160).

The 610 will also sport Bluetooth, which I can use to wirelessly connect my laptop to my phone to browse the web. With the 600, I have to use a USB cable.

Beyond that, there probably aren't any other huge differences. If the 3 things I mentioned above aren't a big deal to you, then go for the 600. It's worth considering...

Mike

Comments on Regular people can buy the Treo 600 from Verizon now

Both Cingular and Sprint have the Treao 600 for a lot less then verizon and with shorter contracts. Too many reasons to count, but topping the list are the clumsy formfactor, brick-like WEIGHT, and overall workmanship (crashed so many times the first month they replaced it...then the backing started to chip off the replacement device within days). I had a BlackBerry 7510 at Nextel, and didn't realize how much I loved it until I switched to Verizon and bought in to all the rave Treo reviews. Now I have to deal with this costly clunker day in and day out. {{{waaaaah}}}}

CyndyM
