palmOne sez no Windows Mobile-based Treo…for now
Those rumors about palmOne might be coming out with a new Treo running on Windows Mobile? They've issued what more or less amounts to an official denial, saying that no one from the company "expressed the sentiments attributed to us". They still leave themselves an out, though, in one breath reaffirming their commitment to the Palm OS and then with the next mentioning that they're always "open to evaluating products using additional operating systems." Not that you should read too much into that, since they've been saying that for a while.
