I might try it, but I use Trillian Pro anyway, which seems to have most of IMSmarter's features (and v3 hasn't even come out yet). Given that IMSmarter's target market (at least starting out) would seem to be the more security-conscious computer users out there, though, I'm not at all sure that it's going to take off.

Effectively, this would prompt the user to choose to activate certain features as they're needed along with link through to a full explanation of what they entail privacy-wise.
