No doubt the official design will be much worse. Remember how cool some of the fake Xbox mockups were? And then the system comes out and it's just this big black ugly box. Say what you may about the capabilities of each system (Sony vs MS consoles) but goodness gracious, you really think the huge XBox box looks better designed asthetically than the PS2 (not the latest one but the original?). I guess what I am trying to say is Xbox didn't make MS any money, and neither does it seem that Xbox 2 will. Microsoft also has the backing of its huge software sucess, mainy to mention the new XNA which combines both the development of PC and xbox to allow things such as the ability to be playing an xbox on live against a person playing the same game on PC. Like the current xbox the next xbox will be designed with the future in mind with great features such as the newly anounced GUIDE (see keynote for GDC) which for me brings me to the odds of an xbox 2 instead of a PS3 10000000 to 1. PS2's "other capabilities such as online were shit, and i believe that PS3 will be little or no difference as all it has focused on is hardware specs (which for me arnt even great) and not the connection of Software Hardware and services (see GDC), inwhich microsoft are so good at.

So to all of you PS3 fanboys have a look at the future for PS3 and its lack of features such as XNA and maybe you too like millions other will realise the power of XBOX 2 and pick up the ABXY controller.
