I think they are saying that the next generation of them is being intro'd in Japan. I was hoping they would have some more specifics. The link provided is in Japanese, which I unfortunately do not speak/read. So, what is special about the next gen?

I am thinking about buying one of these sets, but the reliability of them seems to be in question. The picture is awesome on the one that I have seen at Best Buy. Very bright and clear without being too edgy. Mostly noticed on skin tones, which seemed to be smooth and consistent. Not the case for some other sets.

I also wish they would bring a smaller HD-ILA out. 52" is just too big for my living room. I would love to see a 42-46" version.

ecirwin

Comments on JVC's new LCoS-based D-ILA flat-panel TVs

Official JVC U.S. Comment: JVC introduced our HD-ILA rear projection HDTVs (using our LCOS-based D-ILA chips) in July 2003.
