Here is a quote from someone who was having trouble getting QoS to work so they could have reliable VoIP calls, so they called for support on their QoS. "When I called L... about the issue, they said that the QoS function was only meant for the LAN side, NOT WAN side traffic (which really baffled me..) This is why I tried non-linksys firmware. But, like I said, nothing had any effect..."

This D-Link gaming router has gigabit LAN ports and QoS type priority for the WAN port. This means actual perfomance enhancements. Read all the reviews about it. After that all of the ports are automatically entered for you. Usually us gamers have to hunt this information down on the support site for our games. This is will save me a lot of time. And the most important thing about the DGL-4300 is that it automatically prioritizes the gaming traffic, so you don't need to do anything but click a check box for it to work its magic.

SpudgeBoy

Comments on D-Link DGL-4300 Wireless 108G Gaming Router reviewed

I own this router also, and its definitely the best router I have owned. Its the most reliable and has the most features. Far better features than any Linksys WRT54G using hacked firmwares. And yes, I do still own my Linksys so I do know what I'm talking about.

Tim
