PC Connection not shipping PSPs until May 1

Reader F. Zilla wrote to relay the information he'd received from a PC Connection representative regarding his PSP pre-order: "I regret to inform you that the ETA for the Playstation PSP has been pushed back to May 1." A call to customer service confirmed the same, and it seems the reason being that PC Connection is "not high on the priority list" in the supply chain from Sony — or for game consoles in general, for that matter. So unfortunately, those who've already placed pre-orders for the unit from PC Connection are either going to be SOL until May or be on the phone trying to get a refund, and everyone else ought to obviously look elsewhere if you're hoping to pick one up.
