The soft diffused lighting might be nice in say...a college dorm room or shared apartement/room where you need just a little extra light to see the keyboard but too much more will wake your roomate (although personally I've found that for about $0.06 you can usually rig up a little aluminum foil to reflect enough screen light downward so that the keyboard is *just* visible enough...or study in the bathroom...).  <br><br> I fairly specific use I know, but it will likely see limit success. This is to be supposed as a relaxing and distracting item, and this way can only be lit when the computer is ON. So the fan, hdd, and etc makes noise..
