Philips' new Ensation

Philips Logo

Not that anyone wants to have to deal with yet another wireless standard, but Philips recently introduced Ensation, a new wireless technology that uses the 800 to 900MHz slice of the spectrum for streaming CD quality audio from PCs and home entertainment systems to wireless speakers and headphones. They're promising a range of about 30 meters indoors (that's assuming solid walls and concrete floors), but with better latency (about 20ms) than you'll get from either Bluetooth or WiFi wireless speaker systems.
