Public service announcement: your cellphone should be waterproof
Man, are we ever glad that Korean news site Digital Chosunilbo is looking out for us. We thought we'd be covered for summer fun and adventures by waterproofing our digital camera and our DAPs but no, how could we not have anticipated needing to get our gab on below the surface? "Water is the natural enemy of cell phones, with nary a handset surviving immersion in the element" — indeed. To that end, they advise separating battery from phone immediately following submersion, and waiting until the unit is completely dry before attempting power up.
