Samsung's split section display saves juice
Exactly how much juice it saves we don't know, but Samsung has developed a cellphone screen that can apparently be sectioned off, so segments that aren't displaying information can be shut down while in standby mode. (Or at least that's what it sounds like, since it's a little hard to tell what's going on here.) In the end, what we know is the phone's gonna supposedly save on power, and the screen's gonna display information even in standby—key points, ok? Yeah, we know, anyone else smell gimmick in here?
