Denon to roll out iPod-integrated S-series home entertainment systems

Denon electronics S-series

Denon Electronics will be releasing two home entertainment systems in August that'll feature direct connectivity and control of 3 and 4G iPods via a navigation menu displayed on the home theater screen. The S-301 ($1,599 retail) will also sport a front-panel USB port for attaching the "other" portable audio players as well as USB flash drives. The lower-priced S-101 ($999 retail) and its big bro will both also sport analog connectors to accomodate any audio device with a line out. Other notable items in this S-series include component video conversion, an integrated DVD/A/V receiver, remote control, on-screen help interface, dual satellite speakers, subwoofers, and Dolby Virtual Speaker support for that down home simulated surround sound experience.
