Have you ever seen a portable boombox/radio with a wire antenna? I highly doubt it.

Daniel

Comments on Eton's P'7131 XM sat radio

First, the P’7141 and the P’7132 will include shortwave as well. Second, the telescopic antenna is for FM & Shortwave reception. There is probably an option for an external antenna (if the radio is worth a crap). The AM section of the radio has an internal ferrite antenna which is in every AM radio. Third, and perhaps more important... when will this radio be available? Eton announced the E1 over three years ago which will include XM as well and so far no radio. Many dates have been announced and passed. So far no E1. Not all cool looking radios work well. It's what's inside that counts. The verdict is still out on this one.

RadioBoy

Comments on Eton's P'7131 XM sat radio

I rushed out to get the P'7131 exited to set it up and listen. I got home from work expecting to open the box and call XM and start a subcscription to find out the damn thing doesn't include an XM antennae. You have to go out and get it separately.

Georeg
