Don't focus on the MHZ. 200 is fine with a decent cache and memory architecture. Look at the latest HP with a 312 mhz cpu that is one of the fastest Pocket PC's out there.

Handheld's are almost always bound by their slow memory.

Remember how huge PC Cards seemed when CF came along? And how SD seemed so tiny compared to CF? Well now SD seems huge compared to miniSD.

It's not all about getting smaller for smaller's sake but miniSD cuts out a considerable volume from a device over SD.

But then again I'd give up the freaking nickel sized space to have an SD card in all it's 4 to 8 GB glory.

Yes, the K-Jam does have a 200mhz chip
Yes, the Jam has a 416 mhz chip

BUT

The K-Jam chip is totally different to the Jam, it can do a lot more work per cycle than the Jam chip can, so whilst it has a slower clock speed (meaning lower power requirements and less heat produced) it actually works faster that the Jam because it can process more data in each clock cycle.

Mhz isn't a direct relation when your talking about different chip types. Which is the same reason you can't compare Intel processors against AMD directly based on it's Mhz value. An AMD chip at 2.2Ghz can process a lot more data than an Intel at 2.2Ghz

Which is why the AMD (running at 2.2Ghz clock) has a 3200+ rating as it can deliver the same performance as an Intel running at 3.2Ghz

So in summary, a 2.2Ghz AMD can deliver the same performance as an Intel 3.2Ghz so whilst the AMD is running at a slower clock speed, it can still deliver the same performace as an Intel at 3.2Ghz

The same as the K-Jam processor is running at a slower clock speed as the Jam but can deliver the same if not better performance.
