Aug. 3: What's on HDTV today

ESPN-HD

What we're watching and why:

Two baseball games in HD on the same day? Can it be so? Happily, it is, if you get both ESPN-HD and ESPN 2-HD. The New York Yankees, which are 3.5 games back from the AL East leader Boston, take on the Cleveland Indians, which are 14 games back from the Chicago White Sox in the AL Central division. The game starts at 7 p.m. on ESPN-HD. Later, at 10 p.m. on ESPN 2-HD, the Baltimore Orioles, which are 9.5 games back in the AL East, play the L.A. Angels, which lead the AL West with a 61-45 record.
