I don't get the same degree of surround (stuff will never sound like it's right behind me for example, only slightly behind me and to the sides) that I get from the denon/def tech multispeaker surround system in my basement, but it's very engaging. It's great for a smaller room that fits the installation profile where you don't want to have a bunch of speakers hanging around. The YSP-1 fits perfectly under a 42" plasma. With a good sub and a decent panel, you get a decent home theater experience without the wires and hassle. I tried both the Bose 3.2.1 and the YSP1 and the YSP won hands down. It obviously cannot match sound from satellite speakers but then it has no/nada/niente wires ;)
