Audiosensor turns your table into an AV controller
Yeah, universal remote
controls are nice and all, but you know — we lose them. Plus, this Audiosensor by Tona Interactive will make us
look like wizards of home theater, as it allows you to control audio, video and other electronic components via hand
movements on the surface of something like a table. The unit translates your hand signals into remote control
programming commands — who needs a scroll wheel when you can just wax on/wax off your coffee table to control your
tunes?

Eh, spam above.
I guess this is just a spin-off of the keyboard that was developed for Palm where you could just type on your desk.

This is the oldest trick in the book. Hell, pc's that had webcams back in 1995 had a "eye-toy" type software that came with it with games at that. It is just a basic video recognition software. Has been done before a million times. :P

but what happens when your cat decides to run across the table?
gezepi @ Dec 19th 2005 1:25AM
Cool, but I don't see it being practical for me.
1 If there is empty table space near me while sitting, I put something there
2 does it work in the dark? If you used it for your hometheater, it would suck to have the lights on, even a lamp, while watching a movie so this would work. You could rig it with infrared probably so it isn't that big of a deal.

Obviously, you did not read the article, Google Nazi. It is using sound vibrations in objects to detect input, hence the name, Audiosensor. If anything, it's more like a Clapper.
What is worse than you being totally incorrect, despite the information being right in front of your face, is the smugness of your post. It makes you look like an ass.

fLeShTwIsTeR @ Dec 19th 2005 1:25AM
