Technovas TM-630: Yet another player with tiny OLED display

We're finding it increasingly difficult to get excited about small flash players with even smaller OLED displays. Sure, these displays are great for track info and even for still photos. But why, oh why, do manufacturers insist on pitching these as video players? Just look at the Technovas TM-630. It's a decent audio player, with support for all the usual codecs (MP3, WMA, OGG), an FM tuner, line-in and voice recorder. And at 1.5-inches x 2.1-inches x 0.6-inches, and weighing in at 1.3 ounces, it's pretty small as well. But do we really care that it can play MPEG, AVI, WMV and ASF videos on its 96 x 96 display? Or that it can compress them by 40% with its own software (no doubt making them look that much worse in the process), so you can squeeze more of them onto the TM-630? Sure, we like to take our video on the go. But we like to be able to see it, as well. And, sorry, Technovas. We just can't see ourselves watching anything on this unit.
