Google Talk temporarily broken for iChat users
For those who care: Barb Dybwad over at The Social Software Weblog has picked up on the fact that, at least temporarily, Google Talk isn't playing with iChat users. The company isn't offering much in the way of an explanation, but I'll just chalk that up to them working "round the clock!" to get what limited iChat support they offer back up to speed.
On a somewhat related note, Barb also brings up another good point making its way around the net: Google's inadvertently defensive use of the term "beta" on virtually every service they offer is really starting to dilute the meaning. One of these days that "you can't yell at us cuz it's in beta" barrier is going to finally crumble, which I hope will force these companies to hire on a few more QA personnel.
