It's not a word, I know. But my black nano... it looks like steel wool was taken to it. I don't know how you make it less scratch-able. Better plastics and acrylics? If I stick it in my coin pocket, it goes in upside down. When I pull it out I have to use my thumb and forefinger. Thus, my hand is "upside down". So, when I pull it out, the whole assembly goes right-side up. Also, they have the neck laniard. The player sits upside down so that when you pick it up, it flips over, avoiding having to deal with the cord being in the way.

Any change I would make is on the software side. I'm still running iPhoto 2. To sync the images, it claims to need iPhoto 5. Backward compatibility would be nice.

My older eMac only has USB 1.1. It's be nice if there was still firewire support for transfer. USB 1.1 is horribly slow for transferring gigs worth of data. However, I understand that there are major size constraints and most PC users don't have firewire as standard equipment. But I'm not going to upgrade my computer for over an MP3 player. So, I'll just bitch about it until I upgrade my computer for other reasons.

Other than that, I can find no fault. I've got the 2 gig version, and I actually find it more useful than my 20 gig iPod, as I can only fit a small number of songs. I add a portion of my 5 star rated songs, and I can actually use the "shuffle songs" feature and not constantly skip tracks.

I'm pretty happy with it all around.

Robert Brodrecht

Comments on

My black nano looks terrible already. And mabey if they were to add something like an FM RADIO, it would be a little better. Oh yeah, and a RADIO would come in handy.
