#6: No real DJ uses anything Numark, and if you really want to spin your MP3s, use Serrato Scratch by Rane.
As a "Real Dj", playing in clubs for 5 years, this statement is false histrionics. Numark underwent a management change a few years ago, and they re-vamped their entire product line. After trying the TTX-1s, I sold my Technics and bought them instead. When the CDX's came out a couple years later, once again I tried them out, and I was once again impressed. After sampling the various Digital turntables, the CDX won out because it was most like my turntables.
Coming from someone that owns and plays out on Numark equipment, and has had no problems to speak of, I would recommend these - they are essentially what I wished the CDX's were when I got them - and having every song in my collection at the ready, instead of the 200 or so records that you can carry to a gig, is very useful.
Serrato Scratch is also very nice, and if you have quality tables already and a decent laptop to run it, then by all means its a good choice too.
