If you are attacking Islam you are no better that the Extremist that kill innocent people in the name of Islam."

That you would try to equate pointing out Qur'anic texts with mass murder indicates either a moral or intellectual deficiency.

The two are hardly comparable, except in the mind of someone twisted by such a hateful ideology.

Also, pointing out a religious text's commands is hardly being bigoted or racist (and besides, Islam is a religion, not a race, unless, of course, you subscribe to the Arab Supremacy rampant in much of the Islamic world).

"These above verses would be nice if you read the entire paragraph and didn't just take them out context..."

This is a typical response by those who either 1) know nothing about the Qur'an and Islamic history, tradition, and jurisprudence, or 2) lie to deceive those unfamiliar with Islam.

"but I am sure whoever wrote this comment is by no means trying to find the truth pertaining to anything but rather trying to cast a dark shadow over something they have no real knowledge of."

The person who wrote the comment to which you refer has read the "paragraph" around the verses cited. He knows the truth about Islam. There is no need to try to cast "a dark shadow" over Islam; fourteen centuries of jihad against the Infidel have done that well enough.

Rather than engage in false accusations, why don't you show from the Qur'an itself (or Islam's history or current events--oops! well, maybe not) that the verses are taken out of context.

"It is easy to sit back and make judgments about issues you know nothing about, it is difficult to try to research and learn about the issue you are dealing with."

Yes, as your comment demonstrates.

You either know nothing substantive about Islam, or you are intentionally trying to deceive those unfamiliar with it.

"Also, next time some ignorant nihilist wants to make a comment, please see to it you know what you are talking about before you put it down on paper."

I imagine that by "nihilist" you are referring to me. I would live to have one.

To all the "free speech" people on here who are attacking. Accusations are not "free speech". False accusations are punishable by law in almost any country on this planet.

know your comments are indeed harmful. How would you like it if I posted my "free speech" comments about the crusades, Nazi's and false wars for oil and money while killing thousands somewhere around when the Christmas gadgets arrive? Not that I would do that. Or maybe these things do not annoy you?

Thus, I second removing these hateful comments, from an otherwise enjoyable blog.

Second, get educated on what you are saying by getting your information from reliable sources such as scholars who spend lifetimes interpreting Quran verses, and not from malicious and ignorant websites built in minutes or hours. Some of these comments you might have gladly copy and pasted are used by people who know they are wrong for insidious means. Don't get mangled up in such hatred just becuase you're too lazy to find the truth.

Regards

Ayman

Comments on

#26,
There are many examples of brainwashing. Listing a few non-Islamic examples does not mean that Islam is not on the list.

My personal opinion is that ALL organized religions employ brainwashing. Logic is flushed away by clever words written by man.

I think it's interesting that Islam is the only religion that continues to use suicide martyrs on a regular basis. That fact leads me to conclude that it is the most successful brainwashing campaign in human history.

BTW, every religion on this chart thinks they are correct in their interpretation of the universe. I suspect none are.

http://www.adherents.com/Religions_By_Adherents.html

Tom W
