also, shakattack, I was under the impression sajdah was Arabic for prostration as well, but sujud is, sajdah is the prayer rug... strange how we all think that isn't it....

also, if anyone one is wondering when the first day of Ramadhan actually is, in America, it seems so it starts Wednesday the 5th for sure.

I agree that the comments should maintain a certain level of respect, and I doubt that those who post unflattering comments regarding Islam have personal animosity for the Muslims here.

They are probably irritated (or worse) by those who kill infidels in the name of Allah.

Rather than be offended by comments critical of Islam, it would be much more productive to address a religion whose god commands the faithful to:

"...kill the unbeliever wherever you find them" (Qur'an 9:5),

"Fight against...the People of the Book [Jews and Christians] until they feel themselves subdued and pay the jizya" (Qur'an 9:29), and

"...fight... until all religion is for Allah" (Qur'an 8:39).

Everyone has a right to be bigoted and racist as well. If you are attacking Islam you are no better that the Extremist that kill innocent people in the name of Islam. These above verses would be nice if you read the entire paragraph and didn't just take them out context, but I am sure whoever wrote this comment is by no means trying to find the truth pertaining to anything but rather trying to cast a dark shadow over something they have no real knowledge of. It is easy to sit back and make judgments about issues you know nothing about, it is difficult to try to research and learn about the issue you are dealing with. Also, next time some ignorant nihilist wants to make a comment, please see to it you know what you are talking about before you put it down on paper.

That you would try to equate pointing out Qur'anic texts with mass murder indicates either a moral or intellectual deficiency.

The two are hardly comparable, except in the mind of someone twisted by such a hateful ideology.

Also, pointing out a religious text's commands is hardly being bigoted or racist (and besides, Islam is a religion, not a race, unless, of course, you subscribe to the Arab Supremacy rampant in much of the Islamic world).

Rather than engage in false accusations, why don't you show from the Qur'an itself (or Islam's history or current events--oops! well, maybe not) that the verses are taken out of context.

My personal opinion is that ALL organized religions employ brainwashing. Logic is flushed away by clever words written by man.

I think it's interesting that Islam is the only religion that continues to use suicide martyrs on a regular basis. That fact leads me to conclude that it is the most successful brainwashing campaign in human history.

BTW, every religion on this chart thinks they are correct in their interpretation of the universe. I suspect none are.
