Car2PC allows laptop, in-car PC control from a car stereo

For all those people sick of connecting their laptops to the car stereo with lo-fi cassette adapters, and risking life and limb trying to change tracks while doing 80 on the 405, InDashPC has come to the rescue. They are currently shipping a new device, the Car2PC adapter, that allows the user to control his/her laptop or in-car PC using their stereo headunit's buttons; the Car2PC adapter also claims compatiblity with iPods and other DAPs through both USB and auxiliary inputs. Sadly, InDashPC only cites several German car models as being compatible with this product—great for the BMW owners, not so good for the Scion fanboys. While the adapter will do nothing to minimize the nest of wires already cluttering your interior, think of this as $109 you won't have to spend on a zillion cassette adapters and FM transmitters, desperately and hopelessly trying to find a solution that sounds halfway decent.
