Oct 7: What's on HDTV today

What we're watching:

I never saw "Amadeus" even though I think it won the 1984 "Best Picture" Oscar. Actually, if I remember correctly (and that's a stretch), it swept a bunch of Oscars that year. I'll get my chance to finally see it when HDNet Movies presents it tonight at 5:15 p.m. in 1080i. Network TV isn't giving me a warm fuzzy tonight, so I'll move to Rush HD and watch something I'd love to do but probably never will. "Big Air" is featuring high-def hang gliding at 9 p.m. in 1080i.

Based on a comment from HD Beat reader, Warren, we're going to put the resolution in the listing when we can. The networks all broadcast in one res or the other, so rather than display the res for each show, we'll do that next to each network. Deal? Thanks for the suggestion, Warren!
