The LocationFreeTV player could be a killer app, but only if they reduce the price of the base stations a little. With this player you can stream your home TV/DVDs across the internet and watch it anywhere you can get a broadband connection. It even lets you control your Set Top Box from the PSP. If you have a DVR, you will have timeshifted TV access on your PSP. If they can somehow reduce the base station down towards the $150 - $200 mark, then I think they might sell the concept to many more people.

Darren Tilley

Comments on PSP firmware 2.5 is out

Am i allowed to post relevant links? http://products.sel.sony.com/locationfreetv/owners/psp.html

Badison

Comments on PSP firmware 2.5 is out

They should really just start calling these updates "Brick Update Version X.X" since its really meant to brick the homebrew modding aspects of the device.

Daniel Spisak

Comments on PSP firmware 2.5 is out

I have a LF base-station...if this truley gives the PSP LF capabilities, this update is HUGE.
