I think it's because the desk's edge, which I lay my arm on, cuts off blood circulation to my fingers and palm. I'd buy one. The boss sets the thermastat at 61 due to the current cost of heating gas/oil. All they have to do is jack up the voltage on the USB bus and you have got yourself some very painful hand burns. Not to have it for mouses and the like, but just for all the other gadgets: the toothbrush, the warmingplate/cupholder, the fans, the lights etc.<br><br>Using a batterypack (think like Black&Decker) on several interchangeable gadgets makes it very cool. Scenario: now I want my hands warm up, then I warm my tea some more and read a book in the dark with the lights on. When I get overheated, I turn my fan on. All just from one toolkit with a batterypack.<br><br>Forget drivers, hubs, mouses, keyboards.
