Stupid, stupid, stupid. I'll stick with my T-3 for that reason alone.

Ryan Gardner

Comments on Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T9

Why did Sony do away with the internal lenscap design of the T3/T33? I've carried a T3 for a year now, and love this ingenious design. But it seems like all models afterwards are back to the T1-style sliding cap. What gives? It adds bulk and makes it easier to turn on by accident in your pocket. Still, glad they FINALLY are adding image stabilization, and upping the pixel count. I'll keep an eye on this one, I love my T3, but it sucks in low light, and camera shake is a big problem.

Bill

Comments on Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T9

I have to agree with everything Bill says. I have a T33, and bought it over a T7/T1 purely because of the lack of slider. I've had previous cameras and dead batteries to prove the problem with sliders.

Likewise I wish the T33 had image stabilisation. I'm not sure how well they work (I'm guessing nothing like as well as the propaganda on Sony's website), but *anything* has to be better than the shake you get with slow shutter speeds.

Oh, and it would be nice if they stuck a tripod socket on there...

Rich

Comments on Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T9

Well, there actually IS a tripod mount on there. It makes a world of diffrence on the H-1. Then again that sports that crazy 12x or 10x optical zoom. But Im sure that steady shot helps in all situations. So it would be nice to have one on in for the smaller cameras. Now if they could just figure out a way to help this thing out in low light. I feel like I need to drag around a 1000w lamp for low light situations some times. But I've got to same I'm really impressed with how great the pictures are in good lighting.

Joe

Comments on Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T9

Hot, not as hot as that Nikon with 10x zoom, but this uses those damn Memory Stick Pro Duos I've racked up with all my other Sony digicams, so yes, its hot.

sheik124

Comments on Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T9

for a consumer camera, is there really any purpose to a waterproof casing other than getting bikini buttshots underwater at the public pool?

cuby

Comments on Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T9

Its mamorystick so its a pile of shit.

John Doe.

Comments on Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T9

Memory Sticks are fine... hate, hate, HATE the DUO though..
