Keep in mind that Sony has a track record of over promising and under delivering on technical performance. The truth is that both systems pack a lot of power for high definition games and entertainment.

However, hardware performance, while important, is only a third of the puzzle. Xbox 360 is a fusion of hardware, software and services. Without the software and services to power it, even the most powerful hardware becomes inconsequential. Xbox 360 games—by leveraging cutting-edge hardware, software, and services—will outperform the PlayStation 3."

Source: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/617/617951p3.html

AnonVideogamer

Comments on

#24

Don't you find it ridiculous that you quoted a statement like "has provably more power than the ps3" when the PS3 hardware isn't even finalized, produced or realized? I know specs supposedly have been leaked, but IGN writing something like this is completely ridiculous

Just another example of bias and hype. While I used to read and subscribe to IGN, they have really gone to hell in a handbasket over the last year or two.

Here is an idea. I don't need a list of "10 Reasons to Be a Tool and Not Think for Yourself". How about this? How about a person expressing some cognitive thinking and draw their own conclusions.

I still love the fact that Mario Kart DS has had over 50% of it's users go online in the first week, higher than the 18% penetration than Halo 2. That's right---Charles Lindbergh. Who was the second man to do so? ..... Don't know? His name was Bert Hinkler, and he did it faster than Lindbergh---but he was second, not first… Coca-Cola has benefited from this rule for decades.
