What's really offensive is the people walking through malls, grocery stores, etc., conducting their phone conversations using the loudspeaker/walkeetalkee telephones to broadcast both sides of their conversations for everyone to hear. I don't want to hear someones conversation. I get tired of triping over myself trying to turn around and see who just said "Hi" or "Hello" to me. Thinking it's someone I know, only to find someone with a phone stuck in their ear. I guess I really look stupid when I do this, but it's only natural to try and respond to someone saying "Hi" or "Hello" when they are standing next to you. And worst yet is when it's someone who is speaking something other than english.
