I also wonder how much it costs. Anway, cool product! Two out of four of the black ones I saw (including the first one I found) apparently had some kind of molding problem leading to a defect right where the USB plug is supposed to go back into the silicone. It causes the fit to be much less tight. You can see it through the packaging, so please inspect carefully before you buy it and save yourself the hassle of a return!

I notice they ditched the imation logo too... otherwise seems to work just fine. Putting a small portable apps suite on it now :)

microwiz

Comments on Imation's 256MB Flash Wristband

lame!

tods

Comments on Imation's 256MB Flash Wristband

You know if that was white and had the name "shuffle"......

Sean DL

Comments on Imation's 256MB Flash Wristband

I personally thinks its pretty cool. Sure, will I wear it as a bracelet a lot? NO. But will it be a lot more practical than a lanyard...YES ! After I have been working at the lab, it'll be hard to forget the long tailed rubber blue thing sticking out of the front of the computer. Plus when its in its bracelet shape its a heck of a lot easier to find in a backpack than a traditional flash drive. Heck I can even attach it to a backpack strap.

And no I am not a total nerd. Just a practical CIS student who thinks this is a good idea. And for 35 bucks, why not ?

Brian

Comments on Imation's 256MB Flash Wristband

Yeah it might be 'lame' to most engadget readers.. but think about who this would be good for- Kids! I have a mother and father in assisted living. They make 2-3 trips per week to various Drs offices. Each time they have to fill out various health history and medication history.
