Seems to me that it'd be easy for ingenious bad people to get access to your home if they had the right amount of sticktuitiveness. A special door opening module wired to X10. A VB phone system software handles calls, and you can open the door with a menu command. It's really made for use with a phone system like the one's panasonic makes.
