Honestly, every Acer product we have bought has had problems. Their monitors, LCDs and laptops have all been poor quality.

Every expensive product I've bought from Sony has died within a month of the warranty being up.

I've never had a Maxtor drive fail on me.

These are my personal experiences, your mileage may vary.

I was a loyal Toshiba laptop user for years, but Acer had the only laptop out there with the bundled features I wanted at the time.
