Today in Engadget: February 2, 2006

We're super-stoked for the Super Bowl, especially the fact that we'll be able to watch those delightful commercials over and over again on our PCs and cellphones, but our enthusiasm waned a bit when we learned how heavy and high tech the Big Brother surveillance will be at the game. Nonetheless, we're charging ahead, thinking about Valentine's Day gifts and writing letters to our MPs complaining that the Royal Navy is stifling choice by only including iPod docks in their new warships. Plus, we saw Verizon give in to the DUN grumblers, a Core Duo iMac getting a DIY processor upgrade, and a preview of Mercedes' hot new Night View Assist.
