To much of the "other" kind of football. <br><br>I wish I were home today... just to watch the game.]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[Klar]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Feb 5th 2006 6:39PM</pubDate></item><item><title><![CDATA[Comments on Super Bowl tech: HD, RF, and 3D at XL]]></title><link>http://www.engadget.com/2006/02/05/super-bowl-tech-hd-rf-and-3d-at-xl/</link><guid isPermaLink="true">http://www.engadget.com/2006/02/05/super-bowl-tech-hd-rf-and-3d-at-xl/</guid><description><![CDATA[Yeah, surround sound for a live event where the cameras are 100+ feet from the field...<br><br>so your rear channels are people screaming and hollering...middle channel is noises from the field and front channels are John Madden speaking words that 90% of the audience is tuning out anyway...<br><br>Surround is wasted on sports events unless they start mounting HD cameras on the helmets of the players, then surround from the player's perspective might be cool (I'm seeing this happening on ESPN in the next five years anyway).<br><br>Still, nothing like crystal clear HD broadcast to enjoy in the comforts of my home office.  Who else wanted to just break their own necks when Jessica Simpson did her not-so-sexy pizza commercial?<br><br>P.S., if you're still "adjusting" your HD antenna, bite the bullet and upgrade to an omnidirectional HD antenna on your roof (you'll thank me, honestly).]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[Nick]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Feb 6th 2006 8:38AM</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
