BUT, I'm an aesthetics-guy, and this thing sure looks ugly.

I'd be more tempted to get the Sony DSC-R1 (10 MP) as it is the best looking prosumer camera. Then again, there's the issue of it being a fixed-lens system and well, not an SLR.

What's ugly about it? It looks like pretty much every other Canon SLR. There's a lot of people who are hoping for it to be a full-frame, but I don't see it happening. I do hope they move the body back to the 10D / 5D style a bit more however.

If this camera doesn't end up being 11mp and >5fps with much better AF I'm going to just sell my 20D and buy a 1Ds.

The rumors seem to make this out to be a smaller upgrade.

I'm looking for some weather sealing and 6 or 7 fps (closer to D200 specs in that sense).

Additionally, they show the 17-85 IS lens and I think it likely, if they are introducing new lenses, and I feel they must, that they would show the camera with a new lens.
