They both support Solo or Duel Core processors and have been for sale for about a month. Those two models include a 17" Display. Useless to say: I don't mind a lady telling me something is "so big" ;).<br><br>But honestly, the size of the screen is very useful. I'd recommend going for the 1280px version, though. I took the 1680px one, and it is very small at times and makes working difficult. I usually change it to 1280px, which screws up the graphics a little, but makes the writing more legible.<br><br>What I like about Dell, is that you can specify up to 2GB of RAM. It also will have a true life option where the 6000 didn't. The E1505 it's just an update, with same case and look but some minor differences in the back side. I use to renew my laptops every 2 years. First was a Compaq Presario 1246, replaced by an Inspiron 1100 (its gray & blue look was as amazing as unique), eventually replaced by my loyal Inspiron 6000. Next, hopefully, will be an E1505 with Core Duo, 1GB RAM, TrueLife display, no less than 60GB HDD and DVD burner if possible. But the person on the Dell sales chat didn't understand what I was asking about, and says that it doesn't have it. Was the 6000 line the successor to my beloved-but-dying Inspiron 8500?<br><br>I had a bad experience with an Inspiron 9300 last month and had to return it -- pixelated images off of most websites.  Anybody notice this on the 1505?<br><br>Also, I hate the glossy tru-brite or whatever screens and am opting for a basic XGA screen.
