Origami MIGHT be an actual device.  But it could also simply be a "form-factor awareness campaign" designed to get people thinking about such a device.  Vaporware at its finest.<br><br>As for this photo, it is a nice-looking prototype but I would be surprised if any real device would end up looking like that.  Why?  First, it looks a little too retro... as in early-90's retro.  Not old enough to look hip, but new enough to look obsolete. We all know now images can be faked, and the more they are reported the more readers will doubt what they see, even if its true! MS does the OS.  Intel does the chip.  3d party manufacturers make the hardware.  Result:  You don't like that design? If you take a look at the source code on the Origami Project's site you'll see "Origami Project:  the Mobile PC running Windows XP"... that would mean IT'S NOT RUNNING VISTA.<br><br>So evidently "YOU" don't know squat about it, but other more, dare I say educated, people evidently do.<br><br>That said this is one of two thing: 1) A fake or 2) An early mockup of what the device migth be... I think that we can safely see the resemblence to the Origami units shown in the year old video.<br><br>Bottom line is we should know more by the end of this week. The current Windows shell would fall flat on its face on a device like this (assuming at least half of what we believe it is for is true...). Intel is working on a new low-power chip for mobile devices and should be ready next year. Sadly, we will have to wait out a few of the rounds of products and at least until next year before we start seeing the  "ULTRA" mobile PC. For now, it will be a Slightly-More-Mobile-Than-A-Laptop PC.
