Proving that Sharp can go big and small, their new LZ0P396D optical system packs in 110,000 pixels in a CMOS camera module just 1/11-inches in size. That makes this, according to Sharp, the world's thinnest, most compact camera ever... to pose with a ladybug. This 30fps-capable shooter is equally at home peering through a pinhole or mounted in a 3G phone in need of a second cam for videophone action. Expect these to start shipping in volume as early as next month for just $10 a pop thereby ensuring plenty of low-res, video crap product to come.
