Nobody wants to weigh in on the big picture reason for Apple to allow Windows OS on it's boxes or is it too obvious for words?

If you're a Windows user you can buy a Mac without having to give up anything. The hardware is pricier but you get an extra OS (Mac) that doesn't wait for Vista. An extra OS that can potentially be everything that you need and rely less or not at all on Windows at some point. Hardware with better design. Software that is stable and a protected "walled garden" where everything integrates and works together nicely.

Apple doesn't have to convert the world either for this to be a monumental success. At only 5% of the market share if Apple gets a very small percentage of Windows users to try a Mac box they won't go back and 2x market share to 10% would send Apple stock through the damn roof.

Remember when people were complaining that they wished that they'd gotten in on Microsoft stock when it was affordable and then repeating those words every year for the next ten years? It will only take one that will screw everyone over because they thing that OSX is a "Walled Garden".

Just remember that Windows is the safest and most secure platform...the problem is that even though that is the case...there are thousands upon thousands of hackers that are barraging the platform constantly looking for flaws and ways to get in. They do this because 94% of the worlds computers use Windows. Now if the eyes of these hackers turn to Mac and it's increasing market share...you Apple fanboys will be eating your words. I've found that Macs are just as damn unstable as Windows...just imagine a Mac with Virus problems and spyware on top of all of those problems.
