Leave Apple alone for pity's sake. Did you whine this much when they stopped putting floppies on their machines and went with read/write CDs? Apple is the reason we aren't paying $200 for a friggin' CD read/writer. If they want to lead the market, let them though PCs are ahead on this one. As a gadget blog you should be supporting moves that use technoloyg to make our lives easier.

And the Sprint idea is smart and will be copied by others. In case you haven't noticed, Data on phones is NOT taking off. Who in HELL wants to pay $60 a month to get net access on a postage stamp screen when they pay $30 a month at home for a DSL line that feeds 5 computers thru their hub?. If I can use it during the day, take it with me when I travel, and pull it in when I get home, I'm all for saving the $30 bucks a month by using only one carrier and blowing it on some games.
