When you went to the cinema, they'd tally up how many people wanted to watch a specific film and then when it reached a threshold (say 25), then they'd send you to one of these screenings and start your selected movie!

A screen like this would pay off really quickly, instead of all those empty seats when the film has run it's course. It will be very nice if Panasonic design a bezel, speaker sets and a table stand similar the the PX600 series of normal size plasmas and set it with the other Vieras. Again, NOT STICH but blended!

Manufacturing is currently in process at Matsushita's newly PDP plant. The bad thing is this will be targeted to large commercial applications such as sport arenas/venues, university halls, airports, car dealerships etc. so that explain the simple aluminum bezel and the connections. I asked her about the posibility of producing a consumer-friendly version for next year's high-end 1080p line-up and she said, that will be impossible due to many logistic factors.
