Why AAA rechargeables, not AA? Not sure where the AAA's are in amp hours but historically they hold less charge than AA batteries. Typical NMH AA's seem to max out at 2300 amp hours. Anyone know what the biggest AAA is? On the plus side I am glad they didn't go all the way into proprietary batteries. That really would have been a stinking shame. Also, I understand the logic of it becoming its own charger and that is kind of handy... sometimes, but I bought a cordless mouse to be cordless, Duh! There are some places where a corded mouse just cannot live. I think Bluetooth has gone and trapped their own mouse, cutting out a growing part of their customer base from the get-go. While charging, it is not cordless, and the jack is sticking out the back big time so it looks to me. Of course I can continue to prepare fresh batteries for insertion as I do now but why change formats when AAs do so well for my digital camera, the clock on the wall, the TV remote etc? Its bad product planning I think.

David

Comments on Bluetake's BT500+ Bluetooth mouse

OOPs, I meant to type AA go up to 2300 mAh. Looks like the AAA's that come with the unit are only 700 mAh! Is that per battery or all together? The rest of my comment above stands. They must have been looking for space afer including the charger. Maybe they are saving the bigger battery unit for a really new product.

David

Comments on Bluetake's BT500+ Bluetooth mouse

This mouse is already available, has been for the last couple of weeks from radtech, in powerbook silver.
