I'd rather they put one of those in and reduce the cost of the unit. I have one of those SanDisk cards that you can stick in the USB port. Expensive, but extrememly convenient, and fast!

J-DAWG

Comments on RCA releases EZ101 point-and-shoot digital camcorder

That looks almost exactly like a rebranded CVS disposable Camcorder. Hahaha.

Lincoln

Comments on RCA releases EZ101 point-and-shoot digital camcorder

Lincoln: It looks EXACTLY like one, button arrangement, screen arrangement, capacity, location of port, shape of the bulge on the front. 100% exactly like the CVS one. And it costs just way too much, since you can make that mod for almost free and the camera from CVS costs almost nothing.

Ceralor

Comments on RCA releases EZ101 point-and-shoot digital camcorder

Yes, it looks very much like, and is based on, the $30 disposeable CVS camcorder. You guys are missing the point though - the CVS camcorders are no longer $30. Have you looked on ebay? They range from $50-90. This camera, while similar, is significantly better. The image quality is better, it has 4 times as much memory, TV out, zoom, and the ability to view more clips than just the last one you took. It might be expensive compared to what the disposeable cameras were going for a few months ago - but for a good quality digital camcorder it's still a damn good deal.

zmoz

Comments on RCA releases EZ101 point-and-shoot digital camcorder

I can't understand why nobody is talking about Aiptek's DV's! They've been making low cost DV's for several years. The one I'm using now records VGA at 30fps onto a 1 Gig SD w/ anti-shake in MPEG4 format. All this for UNDER $150!

Chandler Baker
