Philips gets kudos from me for their Streamium line, I really think they deserve more attention for these products.  I got my parents and my sister each one of the discontinued mc-i250's on the cheap from eBay for Christmas and they love them.  The selection of web radio stations they can play is impressive. I already see great applications coming (in my dreams). For example... Microsoft Exchange Server that looks in your schedule for the next day and automatically programs the alarm.
