I thought of BT the second I read this. Hahaha! I suppose those in-pipe motion sensors only have on/off sensitivity, and not incremental control based on distance from the pipe end or something like that, as that would probably jack up the price a fair bit, but this still looks pretty interesting. And yeah, young kids do have iPods. I was shopping for new headphones a week or two ago, and there was a kid (couldn't have been more than 10) there with his mom and they bought an iPod nano.
