Sony only cares about the money. That's why the PS3 is going for $500 and $600 for the premium model. The executive said that he doesn't care where they are in the console war, all he cares about is blue ray. Hence about the money

Jonathan Keim

Comments on Panasonic DMP-BD10 player gets price and accessories

Panasonic is in the same boat as Sony. Calling their customer's service takes from 20-minutes to a full hours of waiting. The CSR are not very knowledge when it comes to tough questions.

This year's plasmas PX60 and PX600 Series are defenitely NOT in the same quality league as last year PX50 and PX500 Series. On top of poor performance they are all made in Mexico. No thanks!

These, however, look stylish from the ones shown a few months back which were both all-silver. But why compromised quality over style at a premium price? not my cup of tea., i let that to the experts at Apple and Sony.

Perrey Z.

Comments on Panasonic DMP-BD10 player gets price and accessories

Holy crap if you think one company favors customer satasfaction over another as a whole, you're more dilluted than I ever thought possible in a human being. Panasonic and Sony are both huge companies and that's all you have to know. Panasonic certainly has better reviewed TVs, they are a better choice out of any company really. With Blu-Ray players, any dedicated Blu-Ray player is going to be better with playing BD media in some way than the PS3, but the choice between PS3 and a dedicated player is the kind of choice that depends on one thing: are you actually going to buy one in real life or are you just saying you WOULD buy one? There is a huge difference. Anyone who's saying what they WOULD buy is probably going to say a dedicated one, because bla bla bla higher numbers blah blah PS3 is crap. Anyone with a brain who's actually going into the market for a BR player and a console would choose PS3, because the difference in quality should really be hardly noticable in real life, and the PS3 from what we all know and expect should be the best value for a console/HD video disc player. If anyone is going into the market in real life just for a BR/HDDVD player, no console at all, it would be wise to wait for cheaper prices, because even $500 for an HDDVD player is a lot of money.

Guruboy

Comments on Panasonic DMP-BD10 player gets price and accessories

You think Sony cares about the bottom line and companies like Panasonic and Microsoft don't? I'm not surprised in the least that Sony went ahead and said Blu-ray must be included in the PS3 packaging. In fact I'm kind of disappointed that M$ didn't go full on HD-DVD, but they weren't willing to hold up their system just to finish the format specs (which Sony has already committed to). No matter what they say, having DVD only format will hinder them when it comes to having content and HD cinematics in the future (DOA4 had to be reworked each day of development near the end just to keep it from outgrowing the size limitations... so we are already hitting the wall).

Tony Rayo

Comments on Panasonic DMP-BD10 player gets price and accessories

Those stinking things are just too expensive.
