You could set it to different levels of resistance for young/old people, or for those people who really need to do something to wake up. It would kind of suck if you fell and broke your arm, and then couldnt turn the damn thing off for a while, but what are the odds of that?

Matt

Comments on Pull-handle alarm clock concept

When I saw the clock the first thought I had was that the pull cord was the snooze mechanism. It is obviously different in the fact that you won't have to mess with a bunch of switches to actually set the darn thing, you just have to pull the cord... which is much easier. If any of you are like me, you have probably been a little too impatient to just press the slow button to set your time on your clock. I like to try and get to the time only using the fast button, so, sometimes i accidentally pass the time I wanted to set the alarm for by... well... a lot; then I have to cycle through another twelve hours, which sucks. So congradulations to the man who thought this up, and I'm sure a regular, push screen, alarm setting option will come standard for all the stiffs out there who fear change.

Fatboy

Comments on Pull-handle alarm clock concept

thats a rele kool invention but im not sure that i would buy it!

Melbell

Comments on Pull-handle alarm clock concept

I agree. I would love to pull a cord than risk Carpal Tunnel Syndrome mashing buttons to get hte right time. The only problem I see with this is it coming off the wall when it's getting set, or like the first commenter, the problem of little kids (and annoying little siblings) giving it a good yank while you're sleeping. :P Now, what would really be great is an alarm clock is it to actually have a number pad so you just press 3 or four buttons and you're set. Might as well build a toaster into it, while they're adding it. Just kidding. :D

K

K

Comments on Pull-handle alarm clock concept

I really DO NOT like the look of this "new" clock... it isn't something u could put on table... come on who wants to hang up there alarm clock?
