Denon has been making digital turntables for years not mate.
Not to mention that a single digital table from Denon, Numark, or Pioneer generally runs in the neighborhood for $699, and yet you are asking for a complete dual table setup with mixer and built in hard drive to be priced at $799. That would be another $200 usd. It's "basically" the same thing they have been producing for years instead the scroll wheel works as your scratch pad now as well. Calling them "budget" and "bedroom" is a little wide of the mark. They do cater for a wider range of DJ budgets - not just premium products - but when you look at products like the TTX, CDX, HDX, iDJ2 plus all the new digital video products, it's clear that they've moved on way beyond the bad rep they suffered a good while back.

Gizmo

Comments on Denon DN-HD2500 Adds Internal Hard Drive to Digital Turntable

Still isn't as cool as Scratch in my book. Alot of DJ's have switched to this here in Austin, and it is really, really cool.

In a nutshell, you use your existing turntables, put on their special Album, and run the output to your PC. You then use those to control the MP3s on your pc.
