Marantz is banking on their amazing VP-11 we spied at CEDIA a few days ago with the addition of a long throw lens. They took the same amazing 1080p projector and adding a lens that will allow for installation up to 7 meters away rather then 4.7m distance required for the standard model. Everything else stays the same (1080p DLP, 7 segment color wheel, 12bit processor) sans the black only bezel option rather then the 1998 PC-beige color scheme. The VP-11S1 is going to hit the Asian market this October for a yet to be announced price, but it is safe to say that it is going to cost more then the $20k VP-11.
