Otherwise I don't seeing this creating a lot of demand for the software. If Apples won't add a CableCARD slot to the Mini or iTV, at least let someone else have a go. Also, it would encourage third-party support, since other companies will have a chance to complement what Apple does instead of being replaced by them (cf.
